Former New Jersey governor Chris Christie announced that he is suspending his bid for the 2024 Republican Presidential nomination. Governor Christie is not currently on trial for libel, insurrection, or racketeering.
I am pleased to announce that I am still using my Plotter although perhaps not in a productive planning way.
Planner update: I bought a plotter (bible sized) and it’s been a near constant companion of mine. I guess it’s a bullet journal with a leather cover. Shiranami Blue.
I scheduled a vaccination appointment for tomorrow. Probably the most responsible action I make regarding my health all year.

I have been a hobonichi user for five years, which means I buy some expensive diminutive japanese diaries with excellent intentions but generally I do not fill them with information. I do this because I like the covers. I am currently indecisive which to choose next.
Here is the end result of my participation in the Stationery Store Passport 🖊️ 8 of 11 shops around Los Angeles and a collection of cards, stickers, and paper products which I probably didn’t need… I hear the handsome letterpress passport was made by Shorthand in Highland Park.

More than just celebrating stores that are stationary, this weekend Los Angeles area stationery stores have a fun passport where people could get stamps from 11 shops. Yesterday I went to five, many of which I had never visited before!

There was a song stuck in my head. Couldn’t place it and the only clue was “Everyday I wake up” … yeah, it was the song A Man Without Love featured in the Marvel Disney+ series Moon Knight. I did not wake up feeling rested today…
The La Colombe Nitro Cold Brew with Lemon is a delightful little weekend treat when I want a bright small dose of coffee with a bit of sweetness. I had never considered mixing lemon with my coffee but it pairs well. During the work week I consume a much larger amount of caffeine… 😇 ☕️

The Flash 🍿
I watched The Flash this evening and it was mostly good. Some parts of it felt awkward funny, and I felt sorry for the poor therapy dog. Anyways, if DC could stop making movies obsessed with mother related trauma it’s probably for the best. ★★★★☆
macOS pinned notes
I sometimes just dump things in Notes and never refer to it in the future even though it thinks it can transcribe my handwriting or OCR my documents. There is one note I refer to infrequently and I just pinned it to the top of the list for handy reference.
Drag Queen Bingo 🌈
Last night I found myself at a charity fundraiser drag queen bingo. I did not win anything, neither bingo nor raffle but I had a very good time and I think I want to regularly play bingo.

Watched Elemental tonight which is being presented with the Dug Days short film Carl’s Date. I very much enjoyed revisiting our old friends Carl and Dug from the Pixar film Up. Then I remembered that Disney+ included a whole series of these. Elemental ★★★★☆ Dug Days ★★★★★
Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse 🍿
I saw this movie last night. Today I still overflow with superlatives and hyperbole. Sometimes a film moves the goal posts, skews the grading curve. Do you want to taste dreams? Surely this was somebody’s dream captured and distributed for consumption. 5/5
