Plotter Pop Up ✍️

I drove out to Westwood for the Plotter pop up at Flax Pen to Paper. And there were dogs! I wish I had longer to explore the line but right now I am convinced the mini size is what I want. Quite a step up from the spiral bound notebook in my pocket.

June 2, 2023 NYY 4 @ LAD 8 (Final Score) ⚾️

Lou Gehrig Day NYY @ LAD ⚾️

Today is a special day, where the Yankees (who suck) are celebrating Lou Gehrig Day at Dodger Stadium. This special day is dedicated to raising awareness about amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS)

Singing in the Rain 🍿

Oceans Eleven used to be my go to background noise film. But recently it’s changed to Singing in the Rain. I think it might be a perfect film, even surpassing Paddington 2. Moses supposes his toes are roses…

Happy Pride Y’all 🏳️‍🌈

June is Pride Month, in case you didn’t know. Corporations will temporarily adopt rainbow logos, the LGBTQIA will parade down the street, and I will consume plenty of food coloring in special promotional items. 🌈💩

Garv Running for Senate ⚾️🐘🗳️

Dodger legend Steve Garvey is considering running for Senate to replace Dianne Feinstein. He would be running as a Republican and has the appropriate questionable credentials: no experience, infidelity, and a history of endorsing ineffective weight loss products.

Slow Horses 📺

I binged the end of this moist british MI5 drama. Well the first series. I see it took me so long that there’s already a second series. And that Oldman fellow, he’s quite decent. I imagine the second series will feature Jack Lowden running around some more…

Call Me Kat 📺

I didn’t realize it but I just finished watching the entire series of Call Me Kat. Three seasons, 53 episodes, a lot of fluff and some awkward parts but I enjoyed what they were doing. Enjoy Tahiti, Phil.

Dodgers apologize and invite Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence to Pride Night

LA Times Apple News

I’ve wanted to say something about the confusing past week when the Dodgers lost the point of Pride and the support of the local pride organizations. Looks like they realize it was a mistake.

The Color Purple 🍿

The trailer for the film adaptation of the musical adaptation of the Alice Walker novel has been released and I am seeing stars. Perhaps it lacks robot cars fighting robot animals, but it’s now my most anticipated 2023 release.
